Music Humanities I

Music Humanities I is a comprehensive program that offers students opportunities to create, perform, listen to, and analyze music by surveying music from diverse cultures around the world.  It is an active study of how music says who we are as human beings and how we express ourselves through music.

The student will recieve a Reading Guide at the beinning of each chapter to be completed and turned in by the end of the chapter.   During the course of study different musical examples will be played which may include different assignments to be turned in.  A chapter review will be performed at the conclusion of study of each section followed by a chapter test.  Grades will be determined on an accumulated point system based on the Reading Guide, listening assignments, Chapter Reviews, and the Chapter Test and any other special projects assigned.
