Students looking for help with ACT testing and strategies have an option to get just the assistance they need this summer.
Kiefer’s 6th annual ACT Camp is set from 8 to noon, Monday through Thursday, June 21-24, June 28-July 1, at the high school. Sessions take a deep look at the individual sections tested on an ACT and can be intense.
Enrollment is on a first-come, first served basis and is limited to a maximum 40 students. Enrollment will begin May 24 and is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors. The camp is valued at $2,400 per camper, but is offered to Kiefer students free of charge. Only students serious about attending should enroll.
Math and science Jeff Gaffen joins Lorrie Quinnelly as instructors at the camp. Gaffen has taught advance math classes and has been tutoring math and as well as ACT/SAT prep since 1997. Quinnelly, who has taught English at Kiefer for the last eight years, has been tutoring English, writing and ACT prep for 14 years.
